An array of free activities are being lined up for Drumceatt Square outside the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre on August 8, 9 and 10. A one off radio station will broadcast from the centre, on 106 FM, with live music, a world record attempt and a huge range of family activities going on just outside in the Square.

Limavady Council’s 400 event coordinator Andy Chapman said that Drumceatt Square will be transformed into a “three day hive of activity with something for everyone.” He added: “We are making this as diverse and inclusive as possible, so that everyone can play a part.”

Children are being invited on Thursday, August 8, from 12.15pm to 3pm to come to the square and make special Limavady 400 birthday cards, alongside a qualified artist who will help the kids create a huge 400th birthday card for display in the centre. All individual cards made on the day will be used to decorate the signature coloured pillars in the square or the centre reception area if the weather changes.
