Hundreds expected at Jobs Rally

Hundreds of people are expected to take to the streets of Ballymena today to show they are determined to secure the area's future.

The Rally For Future is being held from 12 noon at the Bandstand and has been organised by Unite the Union.

Residents, employers and employees in the borough are being called to make a stand and make their voice heard at the rally, banners have also been requested.

Meanwhile Police are advising motorists to expect traffic disruption in Ballymena town centre on Saturday due to the planned rally.

Depending on the size of the rally, it may be essential to close roads in the town centre. Delays are to be expected between approximately 11am and 2pm.
