Work has almost finished on the public art work in Lurgan and it certainly has been attracting a lot of attention.

Each figure of the sculpture, designed and developed by creative artist Maurice Harron, is more than nine feet tall and weighs over a tonne.

The statues represent the area’s linen industry and comprise of semi-abstract standing figures holding a steel ‘linen fabric’ between them.

It cost almost £63k. There were extra costs including installation so the final figure is not yet known.

What do you think of this new addition to our town’s landscape?
