Police operate checkpoints after Islandmagee and Whitehead burglaries

Police conducted security checkpoints throughout Islandmagee and Whitehead yesterday (Wednesday) after a spate of burglaries in the area.

PSNI Mid and East Antrim said: “Burglars will take any available opportunity to steal what your hard earned money has paid for and give no thought to the homes and livelihoods of you, the victim.

“Our forensic teams are conducting their investigation and with your help, we will bring these offenders to the court.”

Police urged people to “lock up your property and leave nothing on show”.
