Devenney raises Internet speed issue
“I informed the committee that I have been inundated with complaints from rural dwellers and businesspeople regarding the slow Internet service currently being delivered,” he said.
“Rural dwellers feel they are being treated as second class citizens, which is unacceptable. It was agreed that the committee would invite representation from BT and Mr Jonathan Rose Director of Ofcom to give an update on what plans are in place for improving Internet speeds in the rural area.

I believe investment is required to deliver a high quality, high-speed service to all those who reside and run businesses in the rural area.”
