Two on police murder charge are remanded
A Crown lawyer, in applying for another four weeks remand, told Friday’s court that they wanted this to allow a number of issues to be addressed.
“It is hoped that in four weeks time the directing officer will be in a position to give his decision as to progress in the case,” he said.

They are jointly charged with the murder of Constable Carroll in Craigavon on March 9 last, and with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The juvenile is also charged with collecting information of use to terrorists, and belonging to a proscribed organisation, the Continuity IRA.
Solicitors for the two men stressed that their clients have been in custody for nearly a year, and one of them commented, “We are seeking something more concrete this morning, than we have been advised.”
