Experience trumps youth as Council edge out Juvenile team

On Sunday, Lisburn Golf Club held it’s annual Club Council versus Juveniles match and the old boys showed there’s no substitute for experience.

It did, however, turn out to be a very close affair with the Council winning 3.5 matches to 2.5 matches. The losing Juveniles Captain presented the Shield to Club Captain Peter Cairns at the dinner afterwards.

Wednesday Stableford

On Wednesday 27 August, the weekly Stableford Competition ended with four players all scoring 38 points.

Roy Welsh (19) took first prize with a better back nine score of 18 points.

Clive Black (13) edged into second place with a better last two holes over Ricky Leathem (6). Michael Rooney (19) was the unlucky one to to win a prize as Ricky had a better last three holes than Michael.
