The team didn’t get off to a particularly good start with Quins scoring in the first minute.

Ten minutes later Quins doubled their lead through a short corner. Randalstown tried to get some flowing hockey together and started improving towards the end of the first half.

Town spent a lot of the second half attacking and counter attacking, trying to commit numbers forward to get a goal. However this became their downfall when Quins latched onto a loose ball and scored a third goal.

The Randalstown girls kept going and got a consolation goal back. A lovely worked passage of play down the right was played into Jayne McGrillen at the back post who shot back across the goals.

Town had a couple of other opportunities and forced the Quins keeper to make a few saves as the match ended 3-1.

Thanks to all the supporters who travelled to cheer on the team. Thanks to coach Harry McNeill and manager Cate Graham. Thanks to the continued support from 1st XI sponsors Redz, Junction One.
