Within minutes the pressure paid off with a score in the corner from Brian Elliot.
Dromore went straight back on the offensive, playing some great rugby and using the breeze to their favour. The pack dominated their much heavier opponents and were rewarded with a fine interception try by Robbie Masters to put Dromore 15-0 up.
Ards came back into the game with a quick try and a penalty to leave the half time score at 15-8.

Plaudits must go to the front row for dominating a much heavier opposition and the second row’s impressive display of mobility. Both Daryl Seawright and Scullion seemed to be everywhere.
A satisfied Davy Russell looks forward to next Saturday’s away game to City of Derry.
